Americans do want to help the world out, with the help of the UN sometimes we are in places where we are not wanted or have worn out our welcome.

Do not take this as an “end all, be all” proposal, it’s more of a working idea so far.

• If the country & its peoples don’t want us there… leave, unless they pose a threat to allies or ourselves (nuclear, invasion, warfare, etc.).

• If they ask for help set goals & timelines. I do not think we should be invited to help, and then stay for a decade or more. We should have a max time spent in country depending on the issue too (probably coinciding with term limits). Writing of a constitution, help with infrastructure, basic training of soldiers are all examples of things to be taught. Do NOT create dependency, teach then leave.

• Instead of throwing money at a disaster problems invite the private sector to come up with solutions, especially when it comes to clothes, food, and water.

• Training! (this would help ease the need/want to immigrate). There needs to be a multitier system in which to place a country that we are receiving mass immigrants from (immigration is covered elsewhere). Under developed agrarian societies would do well to be taught & helped with; permaculture - to aid in food production, water/soil retention, & restoration of the landscape, Wanka Water Tower – to produce/ collect water, seeds – to sow, learn to harvest & trade, tools – for the first year or so to get started.

All this basically boils down to self-sustainability rather than dependence on the US or other powers.
